Design challenge: massive railroad tie wall due to dramatic grade change resulting in a narrow back yard not suitable for entertaining.
Solution: selectively moving back critical sections of the railroad tie wall creating a base for a waterfall as the focal piece to the backyard. In doing so the patio was expanding for entertaining and areas set aside for a walk through contemplation garden and barbecue area were created. The front walkway and planting areas carried the theme of this classic waterfall garden restoration to the front.
